Start of a new Journey

Literally, I will start a new journey come Monday. My journey will take me to Hanover, Pa where I will start my new job at Hanover Direct, Inc. After 9 years at Blazenet/SusCom/Comcast I am moving on. It is a sad day, but I think a good one as well. Only time will tell I guess. So I think I will share some good ol' memories of working at Blazenet:

1) Calling the GM/VP a dumb ass
2) Calling the Director of Marketing a bitch, and then get written up for it
3) Playing in the Horse Tournament
4) Beating Rich in the Chili cook off.
5) Being fearful anytime anyone mentioned the word Fornax
6) Being talked to for making creating a hostile enviroment at work, I would joke with one of the guy gays at work and someone else got offended.
7) Playing in the foosball tournament

Those are some of my favorite moments at BlazeNet. If any other former employees have any memories please leave a comment of them. I would like to see what others remember.

What about the Christmas House Cube?

The tin foil cube?

Someone swithcing off Josh's switch port at 4PM everyday?

Football in the Back Back?

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your new job as much as I am enjoying mine!

2) Palmer's aluminum foil shades
3) Selling Rhett my bagged lunches for a buck or two
4) Galante's javascript class - I think even Rexrode was lost and he was a programmer!
5) Learning proper proof-reading markup during one of my first weeks
6) Stoltzfus v. Redcay
7) Blue hair

- covering tech phone queues, and having Kirby call in saying his wheel (not tire, but entire wheel) fell off.

- Moving into 2050 South Queen Street

- Sharing a small office with Noel and Kalligonis

- Having Kalligonis not talk to me for my first month, and having Noel not stop -- Oh the Horror!

- The Radius incident while on vacation in San Antonio

- Mike Miller v. Scott Austin

- Bill March

You called K Rogers a bitty? Wow. ...Or was it the Blazenet Director of Marketing?

How about pizza buffet lunches at Stevie B's?

I didn't work for Blazenet, so that's pretty much all I got.

Good luck at your new job!

Continued bad luck picking Idol contestants!

O... the good 'ol days. Here are my top 10:

1) Writing Sean up for bitching out the Director of Marketing

2) Receiving a threating letter from Micro$oft's lawyers saying I was going to be sued. (potential of a $10 Million law suit)

3) Getting the following phone call "Jerry, this is Rich, I'm in philly with the FBI, I can't tell you anything else, but I may need to reboot a server or two"

4) "You fix now or I sue, you never call me back" Sorry, our government doesn't allow our cell phones to call your country. Something to do with the fact that you are likely to be a terrorist.

5) Chuck D. dumping the FM2000...It's an early story, but still on of my favorites.

6) How to aquire a company - Verio
How not to aquire a company - Aspre

7) Good idea - Web Hosting business
Bad Idea - One-way Cable modems

8) Favorite misfit employee - Roach... best advice I ever gave him: Change your last name to Roche... you'll get further in life.

9) 666 stickies

10) Making a profit during a time period when every other Internet company was going out of business... we really did know what we were doing!

Ahh the memories!! Those are some classics. I hope that someone writes a book about that place some day because it will be a great read! So classic stories and intersting characters to be sure.

I wonder if anyone saved the Engineering Quote of the Day from the old file server?
