A Cappella....

While looking on YouTube the other day I found this group, The Carleton Singing Knights. They are an A Cappella group that does some interesting covers for an A Cappella group. There are 2 that I found very interesting. The first one is Harder, Better, Faster by Daft Punk, this song is also used as the base for Kanye West's new song Stronger, which I also like. The second is a song called Feel Good Inc. by the Gorillaz.

So please check out The Carleton Singing Knights myspace page. And as a call out I want to see just how good this Garage Band software is from Apple, if B.Snyder could put The Carleton Singing Knights version of Harder, Better, Faster behind Kanye's Stronger song that would be cool to hear.

Weekend....

This weekend was a busy one. Not that any of my weekends aren't (ex. last weekend went to Long Island, NY Saturday morning for a birthday party, then Sunday went to Southport, CT for another B-Day party then came home, arriving around 1am).

So this weekend my son, Jackson, turned 2. Friday night after work we had a party form him at our house with some of his friends, in all about 20 people.

Then Saturday went out to lunch at the Chili's in East York, then to Bed, Bath and Beyond where Jackson decided he had enough of his lunch and threw it all up in the brand new just opened store. We decided it might be a good idea to just go home. Luckily it wasn't too far from B,B & B to our house, ~2 Miles. I say this because on the way home Jackson decided he didn't want last nights dinner either and decided to throw that up too. And it stunk! We got home stripped Jackson and gave him a bath, right in the front yard. After the stink was gone we dressed him and put him down for a nap.

Then we decided that the guy painting our deck was never going to have it done in time for our open house, the next day. So we grabbed some paint brushes/rollers and started painting. What a pain. Then the guy shows up and says he won't be able to paint today because he has his mother-in-law's 70th birthday to go to, that's fine but why did he tell me 2 days ago that he would finish up the deck today?! So I decided to call a friend from karate who said on Thursday that if I needed any help to give him a call. HA! So I did. So Brian came over about 3:30 and left about 6:00. So it was just the wife and I again. We finished up painting by flashlight around 8:30 that night, 7 hours after we started.

Sunday was our first open house. So we got up early and started cleaning up the backyard from the night before and tidying up some other stuff. I had to put some mulch down, pick up the paint stuff from the backyard and vacuum. During that time my mother came down and picked up the kids. So after we finished cleaning up Allison and I decided to go to the movies since we only get to go about once a year. We decided to go see Superbad, and it lived up to it's name. It was Super Bad. What a waste of time and money. I don't remember 1 good part about the movie, just that it was Super Bad.

So that was my weekend, how was yours?

For my bestest friend Rich....

Rich seems a little mad at me lately, a little short when we are talking liek I am bugging him. Now it could be his high stress job over there at Comcast, or maybe I have been annoying him lately. So this post is for you Rich.

Turkey Hill has recently changed the name of their Lemon Tea to Lemonade Tea. I think this is great as it helps clarify the difference between tea with lemon and tea with lemonade.

Also Turkey Hill has a Buffalo Bills Ice Cream and contest.
