Verizon Sucks....

....and let me tell you why.

When I left Comcast and went to Hanover Direct I had to get a cell phone. So I got one at Verizon since they had the best price and I got a discount there. Getting the phone was no biggie and it worked for the most part. I didn't really care for the Mint Chocolate phone I got, but it was ok. It made calls when I had signal and received calls when it had signal.

But when it came to paying bills it was a pain. My first bill I paid by check, then later got a notice saying I didn't make a payment. I checked my checking account statement and there it was they cash my check a month ago. So I called them up and informed them that they had already cashed my check and that it was paid. They didn't take my word for it, I don't blame them, so I faxed over a copy of the cashed check. And that was that, it was now paid.

But then I got a new job at The Bon Ton Stores, Inc. and they gave me a Crackberry, so I no longer needed my Verizon phone. So I called to see how much it would cost me to cancel my contract. It was $150.00, about 3 months worth of service, so I figured I would just eat the cost of cancelling the service rather than wait another 22 months for the contract to terminate. So the next month I sent in my payment + the cancellation fee. I thought I would do it via Electronic Transfer since they screwed up receiving my check. Well Friday I received a collection notice saying they hadn't received my payment.

So I looked again at my records and I sent the payment in 3 weeks ago and it was deducted from my account. This is getting old. So today I call them. When you call it asks for your mobile phone number, so I enter my phone number that I cancelled. It then asks for your billing zip code. I enter this, but it says I entered the wrong zip code. I re-enter it and again it says wrong zip code. It then asks me to enter my mobile number again. I do this one more time then enter the zip code,s till doesn't work. No where do you get a prompt to enter an account number or press "x" to speak to a customer service rep. So I hit zero three times. Voila! "transferring to a Financial Services Representative" message.

Ok so after sitting on hold for a bit I finally get a person. She asks for the same information. I tell her I entered it, but I believe they already gave the number out to someone else because it says I am entering the wrong zip code. She says she still needs it, ok fine. So after I give it to her she says, "oh I can't use that, it has been given out to another customer", no really? I told you that already dip shit. So I then give her my account number. She says that I owe $xxx.xx. I tell her that I paid that 3 weeks ago and I have a confirmation number. She say she doesn't see it as being paid. I said what do I need to do, she begins to tell me, but then I interrupt her. I ask her why this happens everytime? She doesn't know. I say this happens everytime I make a payment, why? She doesn't know, but states it doesn't usually happen multiple times. I ask her if there is anyone I can speak to to find out why this keeps happening. She responds no. So I ask so no one there has a clue? No one can tell me why my payments keep getting misplaced? And ask if everyone there is clueless. She says no one here can tell you why your last payment was misplaced. I said "I didn't ask that, I asked why all my payments get misplaced by your billing system". She has no answer, and apparently no one there does. Now I will give credit to the lady on the phone. I was pretty rude to her and she didn't hang up on me(happened before) and didn't get rude back.

But still Verizon Sucks!
